The series “Dream ascensions” invites the viewer to dive into a world of dreams and fantasy, with a sense of ascent and wandering.  The works, approximately 30 in number, are created using the classic technique of acrylic colors on canvas and have a strong dreamlike and surrealistic character.  The flowing colors and the abstract human shapes surrounding the ships, the animals, and the landscapes create a sense of movement and chaos, as if everything is caught in a turbulent sea of dreams.  
“There are many people, fantastically stacked, gathering in allegorical structures and expressive compositions. Naturally, this observation doesn’t shock but captivates—it is the key to unlocking the grandeur of Gabriel Grama’s painting. The characters are not lined up repetitively, inert, but individually participate in the expression and the message.  They move as if there’s no gravity, like angels, gathering in currents and vortices that paint themselves.”
